Seeking to provide artists with opportunities for exploration and growth within the context of Better Farm’s dynamic environment. Residencies are from two – four week periods. Situated on 65 acres with pond, gardens, and a 1,400-square-food studio and gallery space. Room, board, food, linens and towels, wireless Internet, and 24/7 studio access are included in a low stipend. betterArts residents are asked to interact and help with farming or participate in art-related community outreach projects.

Byrdliffe Artist in Residence Program

The Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild offers month long Artist in Residence (AIR) opportunities for visual artists, composers, playwrights/screenwriters, and writers of fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Longer residencies are available for ceramic artists. Sessions are typically 4 months long (generally during the months of June, July, August, September, and October 2011) and are limited to 3 individuals. The cost per session is $350 USD. Candidates may apply for one month or up to five months.
