FIGURATIVE SCULPTURE BY BOB CYLATT My work is to explore our oldest collective knowledge and somehow encode it in my sculptures and relate it to contemporary issues and audiences. In support of this I am drawn to create my sculptures using ancient materials and art-making methods, combined of course with modern technology--bringing the ancient and contemporary simultaneously into focus. For me a successful sculpture is a mystery-object, gathering and amplifying whispers from the edges of awareness --getting the head and the heart into a conversation.
